Sign Language has always been an interest of mine. From the time I learned about Helen Keller in elementary school, to a class I took in college, my hands have been signing. As a teacher, I used sign language everyday in the classroom. When my husband and I decided to start a family, number one on my list was to teach our children American Sign Language (ASL). Our daughter is now a year and a half, she signs “more”, “Thank you”, “Jesus”, “Please”, “Daddy”, “bed”, and many others. I’m honored to be able to say I’m a certified Signing Time instructor. My future goals are to work towards my license in Speech/Language Pathologist. And of course, teach families in Fort Collins Baby Sign Language.
